Questions
Common questions
What does a website cost?
It depends on the number of pages and whether the site needs to do anything beyond presenting your services and capturing inquiries. Every project is quoted at a fixed price after a short call, so there is no open-ended hourly billing. The one published fixed price is the $275 Homepage Copy Refresh.
How long does a project take?
That depends on the scope and on how quickly content comes together, so the schedule is agreed in writing in your proposal rather than quoted in advance. In practice the pace is set by photographs and service descriptions arriving, which is why the proposal lists exactly what we need from you.
Do you work with businesses outside Las Vegas?
Yes. Desert Signal Digital is based in Las Vegas and works with small businesses throughout the United States, with projects run over email and video calls. International projects are considered individually.
Do I own the website when it is finished?
Yes. You own the domain, the content and the code outright on final payment. There is no proprietary platform holding the site, and you are free to take it to another developer at any time.
Can you improve the website I already have?
Often, yes. Send us the address and tell us what is not working. Where the existing site is a sound foundation, a redesign costs considerably less than a rebuild, and we will say so rather than quote for more than you need.
What do you need from me to start?
A description of what your business does, the services you want listed, photographs of real work, and the one action you most want visitors to take. If the wording is not ready, the Homepage Copy Refresh covers exactly that.
