This page describes exactly what this website collects, who it is shared with, and how to have it removed. It is written to describe what the site actually does.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

The short version

This website has no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics unless explicitly noted below. The only personal information it collects is what you type into the inquiry form, and that is used only to reply to you.

Who is responsible

Desert Signal Digital, a sole proprietorship operated by Shane Whisenant in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Questions about anything on this page go to shane@desertsignaldigital.net.

What the inquiry form collects

When you submit the form on the contact page, it sends:

  • Your name and email address: required, so we can reply.
  • Business name, phone number and current website: optional, and used only to understand your situation before replying.
  • The service you selected and your budget range: optional in the case of budget, used to prepare a realistic proposal.
  • The description you write: the project details themselves.
  • A timestamp and your IP address: used only to block automated spam and to rate-limit abuse of the form.

That submission is emailed to shane@desertsignaldigital.net. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not sold or shared with anyone for any purpose.

Services that process this data

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the form submission in transit. Cloudflare also receives your IP address as part of serving the page, which is how any web host works.
  • Resend delivers the notification email containing your submission.
  • Google Workspace hosts the shane@desertsignaldigital.net inbox where your message is received and stored.

Each of these is a processor acting on instructions, not a party that is given your details to use for its own purposes.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and requires no cookie consent banner, because it does not track you. If the optional Cloudflare Turnstile spam check is enabled on the contact form, Cloudflare may set a short-lived token in order to tell a human from a script. That token is used for nothing else.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled on this site, they are Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: it uses no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and reports only aggregate page views. No analytics script is loaded at all unless it has been explicitly configured.

How long anything is kept

Inquiry emails are kept in the business inbox for as long as there is a reasonable business reason: a live conversation, an active project, or records of a completed project. Inquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Spam-prevention timestamps and IP records are not stored beyond the request itself.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you, send you a copy of it, or correct it. Email shane@desertsignaldigital.net and we will action it within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs nothing.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. Desert Signal Digital does not sell personal information, and never has.

Children

This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on the server before anything is sent, and API credentials are held as environment secrets, never in the website code. No system is perfect, and if something ever goes wrong we will tell affected people promptly rather than quietly.

Changes

If this page changes materially, the "last updated" date above changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions, so if a specific version matters to you, save a copy.
