Work

Projects built, shipped and running

Each project below sets out the problem it addressed, the work delivered, and where it stands today. Where results have not been measured, the work speaks for itself rather than borrowing a number.

2026 Reusable website system: Desert Signal Digital product

Local service lead-generation template

The challenge

Every small service business needs the same things from a website (services, service areas, proof of work, and a quote form that actually delivers), and rebuilding those from scratch for each client is slow and inconsistent.

The outcome

A new client site now starts from a working, tested foundation instead of an empty folder, which is what makes a fixed-price small-business build realistic for a solo developer.

Built with

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Supabase
  • Resend
  • Vitest

What was delivered

  • Built a complete, production-ready marketing site where every word, colour, service and photograph is driven from one configuration file
  • Generated a page per service and per service area from that configuration, so a new client site is configured rather than coded
  • Shipped the full lead pipeline: browser and server validation, honeypot and timing checks, rate limiting, stored submissions, and owner notification
  • Included an admin dashboard with lead statuses, private notes and CSV export
  • Wired the SEO groundwork once: canonical URLs, Open Graph and Twitter cards, generated sitemap and robots.txt, and structured data
  • Made every trust claim opt-in: licence numbers, insurance and testimonials default to unset and do not render, and sample content carries a visible placeholder banner
  • Covered the lead-storage and export logic with automated tests, plus lint, type-check and build in one verification command

How the template works: one configuration file generates every page, form and the lead pipeline behind them.

Desert Signal Digital

The challenge

The site you are reading had to make the case for the business while being cheap to run, fast on a phone, and simple enough for one person to keep updated between client projects.

The outcome

A site that loads fast, reads clearly on a phone, and routes a real inquiry to a real inbox.

Built with

  • Astro
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Cloudflare
Visit the live site

What was delivered

  • Built as static HTML with a single server endpoint for the inquiry form, so hosting costs effectively nothing
  • Custom design and type system with no UI framework and no third-party JavaScript on the page
  • Inquiry form validated with a shared schema used by both the browser and the server
  • Spam filtered by a hidden field, a timing check and an optional invisible challenge: no CAPTCHA for real visitors
  • Every business fact lives in one configuration file, and anything unverified renders as nothing rather than as a placeholder
  • Metadata, Open Graph tags, sitemap, robots.txt and structured data generated at build time

More work, on request

A further client project is complete but not published here, pending that client’s approval to use their name. We are happy to walk through that work on a call.
